In 1774, two sons of John Perry (c.1690-1760 of Virginia and North Carolina) left Bertie County, NC and migrated to the Liberty Hill area of Kershaw County and to southwest Lancaster County.  The families represented on these pages are descendents of these brothers, Benjamin and James.  Perrys married into many families still known in the locale:  Cunningham, Brown, Dixon, Matheson, Tillman, Starke, Rochelle, Massey, to name a few.  From these marriages, a large family line developed over the centuries and spread through out SC, Florida and Texas.
